Inertia is a very powerful force.
Today’s blog post from Seth Godin is, as is usual for Seth, spot on. He speaks to the changing way we do things. Lifting a weather segment from a newscast, or recording a special web segment once or twice a day, similar to the presentations we do on television, does not service what is a completely new model.
Users can now get to us at any time of their choosing. If someone access one of your digital platforms at 3:30 in the afternoon, what are they seeing? Is the data from an automated source? Is it different from any competitor in the market, or a national competitor?
We are local, and Seth is right. The world is not as it was.
