I had a little pop of excitement the other morning. This picture showed up on the new Yahoo iPhone app.
I watched an interesting TEDx talk the other day, exploring why people share online. It is worth a few minutes. Looking at sharing through my TV weather colored glasses, I would add two reasons why people share with us. Fifteen minutes of fame, and the chance to directly connect with a local celebrity. That connection is why they followed you on Facebook and Twitter.
The new Yahoo Weather app for iPhone uses an interesting project Flickr has been building. Project Weather allows you to upload geotagged photos to the group, which are used in a rotating pool of images that are connected to the weather conditions and forecasts selected in the app. There is even a photo credit in the lower right corner to the photographers Flickr account.
The cirrus cloud image above is mine. Wonder how many people will see it? Looks like I am a little bit famous.
